Do you know Κωνσταντίνος Καβάφης, the Greek Egyptic poet?
My favorite cut from his Ithaki poem:
«Hope the voyage is a long one.
May there be many a summer morning when,
with what pleasure, what joy,
you come into harbors seen for the first time;»
And in Greek;
«Να εύχεσαι νάναι μακρύς ο δρόμος.
Πολλά τα καλοκαιρινά πρωιά να είναι
που με τι ευχαρίστησι, με τι χαρά
θα μπαίνεις σε λιμένας πρωτοειδωμένους;»
Here is from Wikipedia;
«Constantine Peter Cavafy (/kəˈvɑːfɪ/; also known as Konstantin or Konstantinos Petrou Kavafis; Greek: Κωνσταντίνος Π. Καβάφης; April 29 (April 17, OS), 1863 – April 29, 1933) was an Egyptian Greek poet, journalist and civil servant. His consciously individual style earned him a place among the most important figures not only in Greek poetry, but in Western poetry as well.»

I bought a small book called Selected Poems by Cavafy, it is so nice, I will post other poens another time.
All photos over here are old.
I love traveling with boats, to stay on the deck and just look. Leaving Skopelos in the sunrise, is one of the best!
This year we went to Skyros, and I saw Mathoudi harbor on Evia, for the first time, and for the first time I must say, I did not like it at all! Terrible place! Normally harbors fashinates me! But Mathoudi is only good for a faster trip to Athens.
Now it is time for Skopelos:
Sun, rain, gray or … I simply love this town!
Πω, πω, πώ – and I simply love this yogurt!
This time of year it is impossible not to show flowers, still more are showing up. The nature is still green, but soon some will dry out.
The temperatures the last 24 hours was between 28,4 and 21,2, C of course, and now at nearly eight in the evening 23,9. I am sitting outside on my terrace «composing». The sea had 19 but now it must have past 20!
Here comes some old photos again:
Just one cutting whitch I love:
Hope you have a wonderful time, I am good at enjoying my time at a walk, or even more at my terrace, with my two darling woofies and maybe some retsina!!!
Take care and try to be nice!
